
Dr. Cait Cooper completed her undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, before earning her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota, where she received the Dr. Harry Plotke Clinical Excellence Award, recognizing outstanding clinical skills, compassion, and dedication to patient care.
Following residency, Dr. Cooper completed a fellowship in glaucoma at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute in Nashville, Tennessee. She joined Shepherd Eye Center in 2026, where she specializes in the medical, laser, and surgical treatment of glaucoma
Outside of medicine, Dr. Cooper enjoys running, hiking, backpacking, and rock climbing. She also values spending time with her husband and son.
Dr. Cooper is fluent in Spanish and is a certified medical interpreter. She especially enjoys connecting with and caring for her Spanish-speaking patients in their native language.
