Emily Fant, M.D.
Dr. Fant was born and raised outside of Cleveland, Ohio. She attended Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, where she earned freshman honors and was elected to the Sigma Xi Honors Research Society. She attended the Boston University School of Medicine and completed her ophthalmology training at Tufts University in Boston. There she was awarded the Charles Preefer Prize for Outstanding Research and was also given the honor of being selected as the chief resident in her last year of training. Dr. Fant was board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1987 and then practiced in the Boston area where she also served as a teaching clinician for ophthalmologists in training at Tufts and Harvard Medical Schools. Dr. Fant moved to Las Vegas in 1988, where she now resides with her husband, two daughters, son and two dogs. Her outside interests include cooking, traveling, music, tennis and skiing.
